Welcome to Carmel Calicut

Ours is a Contemplative Community of women in the Catholic Diocese of Thamarassery. Being a part of the world wide Discalced Teresian Carmelite Order (OCD) called of following Christ in intimate friendship and love. It is a strong commitment to Christian perfection. Ours is an order set apart for the contemplative prayer at the service of the church.

We are for all the people and take up the joys and the hopes, the sorrows, the anguish of the entire human family especially those of the poor & the suffering.
